One day I was just looking in the engine and found this valve hanging there only connected to one end. Not sure if this is normal or not. I couldn't find anywhere to connect the other end to and wanted to make sure that this doesn't ruin my car. I feel a little suction when I put my finger over it. Its right behind where the air filter is located. Any ideas of what it is?

but... since its pulling vacuum, and its behind the (oem airbox im assuming) intake then it probably is the pesky bastard that plugs under the TB(i think) or its surrounding area.

take a look at the aem intake step by step guide/directions on aem's website and you will find the little hose you speak of..

but without a picture im just guessing.

 

Yeah a picture would help tremendously. I do agree with Eric^ though..especially without a picture.

Is the VFAD still in the car? If it isn't that doesn't do anything...just make sure the nipple on the manifold behind the throttle body is plugged off...otherwise that hose attaches to the said nipple

 

thanks guys i found that it actually went under the air filter box after i took it out
