Hello, my Engine pressure valve(s) basically crapped out on me so i'm looking to sell my Rx8.

It's a silver 2004 Model 6-speed manual with a stock tail spoiler and minor scratches on the exterior. The vehicle has two front aftermarket swift springs dropping the front end down an inch from normal (I will include the two original front springs if you wish too) The back two springs are factory. It has a short-shifter installed in it. The chassis currently has 123k miles. The car has a Viper - Responder HD 2-Way Security and Remote Start System installed and working in it. It also has a aftermarket CX501 2-DIN BLUETOOTH CD/USB/MP3/WMA RECEIVER radio installed in it ( I will also give you the original radio that comes with the vehicle if you want, but the cd player was on the fritz with me). The car also has the necessary cords for hooking up an amp along with subwoofers, but does not come with the amp/subs.

The car failed a compression test meaning that the valves in the engine will not maintain the needed pressure when the engine is warmed up to keep the minimal RPM's while in Neutral. So the vehicle starts up and runs perfectly fine while the engine is cold but will not maintain pressure when warmed up unless the engine is being revved or it is in gear and running.

I'm asking $2000 for the vehicle which I think is very reasonable since the CD player and the viper system both cost about that much. The tires are fairly new, maybe 10k miles on them and the rest of the car works great. The only needed thing would to re-build the engine or replace the engine.

I'm not interested in selling the vehicle part by part but as a whole. This would be a great deal for a fix-me-up project. I will be posting pictures up of the car soon. Thanks email me if interested. My email is Ryanp1788@aol.com

****, if I had this deal when i bought my car x_x. If you ever part out your car, I would love to have the Oil Cooler Lines since apparently (according to Mazda) i need them replaced, PM me if you do.

 

I do not know which valves they are i won't have the printed out report until tomorrow. As to where i live, i live in Dekalb, IL and the car is in Kenosha, WI but i can transport it to Dekalb, IL. Unfortunately i will not be able to transport it long distances (50+ miles) so it would need to be picked up.
