this is the best car i ever bought. definately a show stopper. I get more attention then i can handle It makes me feel good to get acknowledgement of other drivers with the ever so popular nod looking over the sun glasses.

Anyway, I was stopping for gas this evening at Bathurst and Elgin Mills around 10:30pm, saw another Silver 8 zoom-by. Any other Richmond Hill folks here?

 

No, but hopefully, you will see me around by end of the year. Waiting end of lease for my RSX-S, and then I'll be getting myself an 8. *crossing fingers* Either red or black :D

i don't want to say anything crazy and jinx myself, but the car runs like a champ. i keep checking the oil, but haven't had to any since i picked her up in January. I'm beginning to think all this flooding I hear about is just CRAZY TALK :p What about you TdotRx8GT?

The only downside to owning this car is... everyone at work becomes a hater A guy can't drive a nice car without being accused of selling crack. LOL

I had a previous order back in September with an expected delivery date of March from a richmond hill dealership, then MyRX8bad at this website sent me to a dealership in Hamilton, so I ordered from him in December, got my original deposit back, then had my car delivered in January, and got an xBox I got a reasonable discount, considering no one else was giving them back then.

Anyway, I went hardcore with accessories... way more than i wanted. Initially, I only wanted a spoiler, but after seeing another guy's car in the dealer's garage, I decied that I had to get both rotary accents and the air dam and side and rear deflectors. Did the standard rust protection as well.

Want to do side strakes myself, and i like the clear side markers... so this will happen this summer. I'm also hanging around to see if I can get a discount on the 3m scotcal before i get any chips.

Although I live in Richmond Hill, but didn't purchase from that location, I will still consider getting my first service there next month. I wonder if dealerships treat "outsiders" poorly.

I'd hate to have one of the mechanics **** in my gas tank cuz I didn't buy from that dealership. If it's worth anything, I took off the dealer plate bracket.

 

I do not live up in Richmond Hill,but I'm up there often. QEW to 407 to 400 to Kings Hwy. My best friend recently moved from Rich. hill to Aurora(about 3 miles) Love drivin the 8 fast on the Queen E amd 407. Also have takin some nice rides in the farmlands north of Aroura. No tickets yet,but since I'm from USA,not too worried about it. Look for Ti Grey with NY plates and it's probably me. GO Leafs...GO

But I do think you get better service from a dealership if you purchase your car there (no proof of this; just something I've observed over the years). Maybe you did the right thing by removing the lic. plate frame
You're lucky to live close to that dealership, BTW. I have to come all the way from downtown to get my car serviced there. It's worth the drive, though -- I've been to other dealers and wouldn't consider letting any of them touch my baby.:D

My one big thing about getting the 8 was cuz it's a great car, and there aren't... well weren't that many out there. But in Richmond Hill alone, I've seen at least 5 others, and i think 2 of them take the route to work as I do. As the weahter has started getting a lot better, you can bet the other boys of summer will come out to play. I love my 8, but all you others out here are stealing my glory It was nice being the only bully in town for a while.

C'mon hobbes, we'll start the RH-8 club, only for those elite owners up in the Hills. LOL.

 

Yo im from RH... i took one of these for a drive tryin to decide if i wanna buy this thing.... and i compared it to the RSX type S.... i smoooooooooked the type S.. i went to the dealer on steeles.. guy let me race that thing... im waiting on some school stuff... but im buying this thing when the new ones come out.. apperently there are no more red or yellow ones left... =( blah... just a few months... more time for some new mods to come out... i seen a few of you around RH... mcdonalds at like 3am.. ahahah..

 

Hey knuckles, I live around Younge and Elgin Mills, so on weekends I could be found driving aroud that MacDonald's. Of course I quickly race home to eat it, as I don't want the smell of meat in my still pretty new car

Hey Hobbes... The exact location is 3100 Steeles Avenue East .. it's the the FIRST BUILDING east of woodbine on the north side of Steeles.....beside the LEXUS DEALERSHIP

The actual venue is called DR.INKS Bar and Restaurant...

We all meet at various different times.. for example alot of ppl come early to watch the hockey game.. but most CAR CLUBS usually roll in around 10 or so.....

You'll basically see every club in TO come.. 240 SOUTHERN ONTARIO are regulars..SUBARU..TORONTO CIVIC AND INTEGS.........and obviously always industry people from Racemode to Wheels Direct staff to Saber Exhausts staffing........ feel free to msg me for more info guys!

 

i'm from RH, planning on getting the RX8....gotta wait till the lease on my IS300 is up though......still got a year.....its killing me how u guys have the 8 alrdy! heheh so jealous! seen couple of u round the area.....but only seen a red and blue one 2gether one time at like 11pm at coffee time on leslie and 16th....was drooling looking at it! haha

Ah, no. Aftermarket parts are...well, aftermarket parts. By the time you get your new ride, you should be able to get all the bells and whistles you want from the tuner community. Check the treads for body kits, there are tons of info for you to read about.
