another one bites the dust
i'm in PT, dunno about the girl that hit me, but they rated the value of my car around $11k and still totaled it, so i'm guessing the camber system got royally hosed, can't think of anything else w/ that kinda pricetag to repair on the back end.
dunno if you'll want the engine, it's the origional one, not a recall, w/ 93000 miles, still works, but i think the compression might have been going, was noticing a loss in power over the previous few months, although the engine does have less than 100 miles on the new coils, plugs and wires, and the tires are less than a week old, but one of them got punctured, USAA took possession of it when they paid off the loan so i don't know where it is now.

if the damage is half of what the car is worth then insurance companies cut their losses and total the car out. Its easier to total a car and give you money for a new one then for them to fix the issues with yours. There are dealerships all over that sale reconditioned titled cars. I have a 2013 STI that I got for 21k, guy test drove it and hit a car, minor damage but the insurance company totaled it out. So while I will never be able to sell the care for what its worth at least I didnt spend 38k and got the limited edition. If my 8 ever gets into an accident I would rather them total it as well.
