I just recently bought an rx8, done 110,000ks.

The car starts well on a cold start..but after the engine is warm, it is hard to switch it back on.. usually takes quite alot of cranks and the engine eventually starts..but it needs usually 15-20mins break for it to start properly again.

What could possibly be wrong, could someone please help me??

low compression, engine is on the way out.

did you get a compression check when you bought it?

are you in CA?

 

What could I do to fix this?? Nah I didn't .. Never knew rx8s needed extra attention..
