just brought a rx8, know nothing about them,
ive looked through all the paperwork and says nothing about what the bhp is (192 or 231)
it has the paddle shifters and 4 speed auto box
black in colour with black leather seats and flip up satnav?, not sure if it bose sound system.
also it doesnt start when hot but ok on cool down???
help appreciated

 

The Auto's are the 192 and only have 4 ports, while the 6 speeds are the 231 and 6 port.
Im assuming you mean HP. (192 and 231)

 

4 port auto, you have 192

if it doesnt start when hot that means you probably have low compression and you need to rebuild your engine.

 

PluS the BOSE package can be found on the lower part of the door where the door speakers are.
It will say "BOSE". The Trim can be found easily. Sunroof, and a spoiler mean GT model.
I own a Shinka which is only made in 2005. I will say "Shinka" with Japanese symbols on the out piller next to the door.

 

That would really suck if he bought a car and it needed to be rebuilt.

paid £1200 for it, someone told me it might be the coils need changing, is that a possibility?

 

it could be a bunch of things, our cars have higher compression when cold, so as it heats up the compression drops. If it has low compression the hot starts will be difficult.

best thing to do is to get it tested at a mazda dealership.

but yes change the coils plugs and wires, it wont hurt.

 

He's in the UK guys. The Euro-spec cars were configured differently than the North American.

sorry for all the questions but does anyone know if its possable to chance the sat nav from jap to uk as it stuck in jap?

Just the northeast part got wet. The rain didn't quite make it as far west as Chicago, although we did get a little of the wind. The waves on the lake were as high as 20 ft.
