could this be installed into an RX8 that was not originally equipped with one? ie...Is this the whole NAV system? or just the screen?

This item can be installed on non navi equiped S1 Rx8. But most use it for car pc purposes, because the 1st gen Rx8 navi are kind of outdated. And its just the screen/housing.
