AR Northwest Arkansas Rotary Meet

Hey fellow rotary nuts! I'm jumping forums from RX7club to try and get a Northwest Arkansas rotary meet/club started. It has been a goal of mine for some time now but, unfortunately there aren't a lot of RX7s in our area. I have noticed there are more than a few RX8s around. So, what I want from you are ideas and feedback! Please feel free to contact me via email (nwarotaryclub@yahoo.com) or pm. I'm also not limiting this to just Arkansas anyone from the surrounding states are mofe than welcome!

I hope to hear from you soon!

I visit my brother in Arkansas here and there. I usually don't take my FD, but I would if I could plan a rotary meet around the visit. When I'm up there, I'm in the Benton area, just a little shy of Little Rock.

Awesome! I'm glad you replied. It's still open as to when and where. I've been thinking about doing a meet and cruise through the Boston Mountains. The Boston Mountain Scenic Loop is a great driving route with alot of good corners and chicanes. Hopefully we can get more interest in this and get it planned!

I'd opt for a time with cooler weather.

I use the same screen name on the rx7 club forum; have you posted it there in the south section as well?

I've been thinking that an early November would be a good time for it. It will be nice and cool temp wise, and I've been considering the cruise portion being the Boston Mountain Scenic Loop. It makes for an exciting drive once you get onto HWY 71 headed north back to Fayetteville. In all the round trip is about 1h 45m without any stops. The meeting is still up in the air at the moment. I've talked to the manager at the Northwest Arkansas Mall here in Fayetteville about let us use one of their back parking lots for the meet up. But, I'm still waiting to hear back on that. Im also not a native to Arkansas so I don't know where a better, more convenient place would be for a meet/cruise.

Are you strictly wanting RX-7 drivers to meet? I can bring my 8. I live in Clarksville, but I am around Fayetteville and Fort Smith a lot.

I saw a BEAUTIFUL R3 last night in Alma. It made my RX8 look sad in comparison.

I've been seeing a blacked out 8 roaming around Fayetteville that sounds pretty gnarly. Haven't had a chance to chase it down yet.

I usually take pictures of the 8's I see around here. I see them all over. There are 4 of us in Clarksville, I have only had the opportunity to meet one of them. Although his is disgusting because he threw an ugly spoiler on a black and yellow one.

There are more than a few 8s around here. Most of the people don't understand or care to understand the rotary, they just think it's a good looking cars. I wish I could find more 7s. I've only seen 2 other 7s besides me. It would be nice to get a big rotary/Mazda meet started. I've been trying to get something going but I work 50 hours a week and don't have much free time. If you're interested let collaborate and get something cooked up!

I will do something, and glfrgy22 your 8 is gorgeous. I saw it while I was parked at SWAD music for the Our Only Hope concert. I was standing outside smoking a cigarette sitting on the hood of my 8 and you just blasted by. Didn't even see mine because it was not as sexy. Mine is the same color just older.

Yea for sure. I'm pretty sure it's the stock exhaust but I could be wrong. I haven't been able to take a peak under the car. Wanna meet up for a ride soon?
