I am in the process of contacting an AX driving school and setting up an event here in Florida. Not sure on the location yet, most likely central Florida area like Orlando.

Anyway I am feeling out o see if there is any interest from RX8 guys to join in on this.

It will be good for 1st timers and veterans to improve.

CFR SCCA do Autocross at the OCCC (Orange County Convention Center) Orlando that might be a good venue for you. You can get a nice 35-45 second track there.

 

This sounds awesome, how about in Miami? Or a anywhere a bit closer.

Still interested either way.

 

If I get more interest in So. Fla then I will see about a venue down that way, as mentioned this is in its infancy. Onc eI have an idea where the interest is I will see what venues are available.

I understand the SCCA uses Homesteads parking lot (part of the karting track) correct?

I'm in Tampa so either one wouldn't matter for me.

But as far as getting more people to attend, Orlando would probably be better cause it's more Central. People from Jacksonville, Tampa, South Florida could all attend.

I can't make that one, I have plans that day.
Also my car probably won't be fully tuned at that point so it doesn't matter.
