Changed my brakes to better brakes... the whole set... and i get a REALLY LOUD and annoying SQUEAL every time i brake ...no matter how i brake. thats not normal.

any fix ?

 

Can you define "better brakes"? Which pads were they? If you got high performance or track pads, then yeah, you are going to get squeal when they are cold, because on the track, no one cares about how much noise they make. Quiet street pads won't do so well when used repeatedly when hot, but will be real quiet and have great cold grip.

Do some reading up on brake pad material, and pick the benefits you want and ignore the penalties you can afford to. It's all about compromise between dust, noise, cold grip, hot grip, wear rate, rotor wear, etc.... No pad is everything.

 

Don't know the exact brand... cause my friend ordered them but they are high performance brakes... but the squeal occurs when cold AND hot no matter what... did we mount them somehow wrong ?

 

All i remember is that i paid 500$ for front brake discs and pads. and 400$ for rear ones

 

They are probably hard metallic track pads then. And by hot I don't mean after using them a bit. I mean at like 1,000+ degrees from constant hard braking that sheds 80+mph, you accelerate back up and drop all the speed again. Extreme use. More than you can get on the street.

I recommend ordering a set of ceramic pads for the street. Hawk Ceramics are fantastic (in my opinion). The ones you got aren't wasted really, because you can keep them for when you get on a track. You don't want to use ceramic pads on the track anyway. One set of pads for each. It's what quite a few people do. Use the best pad for the circumstance.
