It "feels" like less power post oil change...is it all in my head?

took my car to one of those quick lube joints to get them to top off the oil, fill the tires, and vaccum her out, because they usually top off for free and do all that other stuff for free too....so why the hell not? I know taking your car to a non mazda shop to have it worked on is a no no, but I didn't have the time to do it myself.

Afterwards I feel like I've lost some power for some reason. It just feels like there is less of it. Maybe it is just in my head, Idk, but I just get less of a jolt from pushing the pedals. Its very slight but I feel like my performance has been slightly irked post oil top off. Is there anything these clowns could have done to make my car run worse? There's no cel or anything like that. Do you think it could be the tires being fully inflated? Is it all in my head?? haha. Somewhere in my gut, it just doesn't feel as smooth and as powerful as it was before.

IMO, usually if you notice something off about your car, there's something off about your car. Do you have any benchmarks you can check against? Like a known 0-60 time at a particular place...

just trying to think what they could have done...putting too much oil in wouldn't cause that...idk...maybe I accidentally filled up with 87 or something and had a power boost as a result and now that I'm back to 93 its running normally. Idk man. those places are the pits.

Over filling the oil could have caused airflow problems till it was all blown clear, since overfilled oil dumps to the intake. Would be real obvious though.

Likely in your head, which is one of the known causes of power loss.
