My rx8 makes a squeaking noise one it idles under 1000 rpms any guesses why it does that?

 

From what location on the car is the squeaking coming from? Please be more specific.

 

I not sure where at specifically but after I drive it for a bit and let it idle in park i open my dor and lean my head under my car and it squeals when its under 1000 rpms

 

Belt or idler pulley, air pump, fuel pump, throw out bearing? kind of need more info as Godesshunter said.

 

A squeal is different from a squeak. If you have a squeal, look under the hood. Could be a belt or pulley bearing. If it is a squeak from under the car, could be an exhaust heat shield or broken hanger. Is the squeak accompanied by a rattle?

Pull up next to a wall on the drivers side. Let the car idle. Listen for your "Squeak". Now move the gear selector from park to first. Listen for a difference in the sound. Now move the gear selector from first to second. Listen for a change in the sound. If your "squeak" changes when you shift it from first to second ,,,, it's a bad engine mount.
