wth Daytona Mazda????

As some of you might remember I ran threw a big *** puddle last year and blew my engine. Well when Daytona Mazda replaced my engine they must have switched my leading and trailing plugs on my 8 because I went to the shop today to get new plugs wires and coils (because I thought thats why I had no power) and the guy at the shop told me they were backwards.....now idk if he was mistaken or not because he went ahead and swaped everything but it run ungodly better afterwards.....I actually got the car dynoed not to long ago (just for fun) and I think it was like 130HP I wonder if that was the problem instead of bad coils.......and would that damage the engine....

It's the same place but they're calling the Mazda section, Daytona Mazda now.

I go there for oil changes. I bring my own Castrol GTX because they don't have it. Everytime the same guy comes up and lectures me about synthetic oil and everytime I have to explain Castrol GTX is not synthetic.

I know there is at least on employee who trolls this forum, because they have reacted on my negative comments I have posted before.

John Montero?

He has his own shop now, JM Motorworks in Ormond Beach if you want to speak with him.

1778 State Ave
Ormond Beach, FL 32174

I'm kinda angry with him as well. After the years of paying him thousands of dollars, he rushed installed my sideskirts, drilled uneven holes so my skirts aren't holding to the car (all the holes are different sizes) and he drilled the holes too low, so there's a huge gap. I have to pay hundreds of dollars to have it fixed properly and he won't even answer my calls. Oh and he lost my wheel locks and had to pay $45 plus have them installed and I got no compensation what so ever.

Is that month counting the time it takes for the engine to come in? Shouldn't take more than a couple of hours to install. Duval took about 3 weeks but I had to wait 2 weeks for the engine to come in. They let me have my car until the weekend they had to install the engine though.

When he worked at Mazda, he ran a "compression test" and told me my engine was fine and Mazda wouldn't replace it with my compression ratings. The same week, I went to Duval, they said my engine is defiantly failing and replaced it, I was approved by Mazda on the spot and I only had 2 weeks left of warranty.

Keep in mind, this was for my '04 which I was the 4th owner of and they approved no questions asked.

If anyone in the Palm Coast/Daytona area needs help with their RX8, just let me know and I will take a look at it. I had an 04 6 speed and know a lot about the car. Just trying to help out.
