im getting the black rpf1's in 18x9.5 but dont know which offset to get them in +15 or +45. would i need to roll and do a lot of modification which the +15? i'm guessing since the +45 is close to the stock wheel's offset that no modification is needed. thanks for the help in advance.

If you go with +15, you probably only need to roll your fenders.

 

Get the +45. +15 may require lots of work but I have no experience with an offset that low.

The +45's should sit flush depending on your ride height since the extra width of the wheel makes up the 25mm inset. Run some 265/35's. If you car is lowered you should sit pretty nice.

The +15's will push out wide (35mm farther out) and I dont think you would be able to tuck them. Might be all hillbilly Camaro looking.

 

+15 in front won't poke. I don't think it will poke in back either. I was barely poking with 10.5 +15 in back.

Anyways, tiltmode has a few pics of 18x9.5 +15's on his (or what used to be his) slammed 8. He was running 265 or 275's, I believe. It won't poke past fenders, but will require a slight roll.

 

+15 check my pic in avatar that a +15 ET/offset slight fender roll should help I took out my fender liners and rolled everything proper I can rock 18x10.5 and get full lock both ways no rubbing.

 

I've decided on getting the +45 offset. I forgot to mention I'm also gettin stance gr+ coilovers to lower the car with. If need be I'll get some spacers to make it a little bit more flush. I read up on 9k's addition of the 25mm spacers with the stock wheels and I'm really considering doin that when I take off my rpf1's in the winter. Looks much better than stock IMO.

my next set-up will be pretty nice can reveal the wheels for fear of someone beating me to the punch, but 18x10.5 245/40, or maybe 265/35.

What is your suspension like? What are your goals? Handling over looks, or looks over handling? Processing this takes two different approaches. Also keep in mind that size is available in a +38 as well.

What I would get if your lowered is the 18x10 +38mm and run a 275/35/18. It might require a slight roll in the rear, but it would be the best of both world's, nice and square and flush at the same time. You simply will not have as good as handling with the +15 as with the +45, the closer that magic number is to +50mm the better in terms of handling. I would only run it if your on coilovers or a good Koni/D-spec spring setup. I wouldn't do anything if your at stock height.

What? Not necessarily true with the consideration of scrub radius and caster angles in association of lower offsets than the factory 50.

 

I was comparing the +15mm to the stock 50mm being 35mm farther out....I should have specified.
I was picturing the 9.5 +15 being 24mm farther out than the fender lip but I guess 24mm is just under 1" so with a stretched tire, enough camber and a fender roll, it would tuck.

18x9.5 et38 255/35/18 fitment is good. no arch modding is required.

 

Not getting into all of that, but without changing all the specs, the car will handle better with a higher offset, from my experience.

 

For a completely stock suspension (including alignment), it may be true. But he plans on getting coilovers, which is almost a given that he will have an entirely different set up...

With that said, I would still go with the +45 since I can play with 275 tires and no need for fender modding at all.

That 255/35 should give you a boost on the low end as well, although the speedo will be off if that matters, assuming your going with Dan507's setup of tires as well. Also, keep in mind that with the Stance, if you slam it, your chassis height will be really low as well in combination with the tire that is 1" shorter than stock. I had a 285/30 w/ just lowering springs, and my front would bottom out everywhere with the stock bumper. Just a couple things to think about before taking the plunge. I think you will be pleased with the overall setup though, as the loss in unsprung weight you will feel when pushing it.

 

I called Dan at Assualtech today and he said that the silver comes in the 18x9.5+38 but not the matte black. I can always get them powdercoated, but wouldnt wanna go through that hassle and pay extra for something that should come from the factory. Dan507 i looked on the site of the company you told me about and it said they only have it in the +15 and +45 for black

 

go with the +45 and wrap it in 265/35/18's then slam it

 

Yea that's probably the tire size I'll be going with. These are already ordered but Dan from assualtech has been great with taking care of me when I call so I could easily change the offset if I found a better one.

 

you could always use some 5mm slip on spacers?
