Hi, still with the same problem as before and till now reaching 6 months my car still parked like a scraped car.

As per my previous message it's started when my engine suddenly stall in the cold morning with some fire spark came out from the exhaust, since that time (January 2012) till now the engine won't turn on.. I have replace the plug, spark plug, ignition coils, check the fuel pump, check the compression, check the ignition, check the airflow, clean the MAF, deflood the engine till fully dried, replace with new cats, everything was fine, doing good and new.. Check with CAN OBDII showing no codes.. Local Mazda dealer refuse to handle Rotary coz they never officially sell RX, mines imported from US.

It's been 6 months I've tried to repair it by myself but now I'm dead, all suggestion I've got from RX8 Club I've done but still the engine won't turn on. Now I suspect the injector and throttle body failure as the intake air flow normal, exhaust flow normal, fuel pump work perfect (replace by a brandnew Walbro 255LPH high performance), all new NGK plugs and wire, Brandnew coils (and all works perfect), fully deflood the engine, make sure no lost compression and finally when I tried to start the engine still won't turn on!! I spend 2 brandnew battery only for doing testing this and that..

So now after all working perfect only injector and throttle body which I'm yet to do any test and I don't know whether they are doing well or not. Can somebody explain me how to make a test whether the injector and throttle body working or not? What is the most common cause which make them facing problem? What is the most common cause the cats got burned and flow a firespark like somebody is doing welding inside the exhaust?

One more symptom, in the last 2 months before the engine stall I kept smell a fresh gas came from the front of the car (or from the hood area) whenever the car accelerate with the windows wide open. The smell never came into the cabin when the window close or when the AC on. Have check the engine and gas tank, no leaks at all.. Appreciate your feedback, thanks..

 

Have you cleaned/inspected the Eccentric Shaft Sensor (ESS)? Done an ESS reset aka "20-brake-stomp"?

 

Never done that before, can you explain me how to do it?
