SickSpeed Shift ****

hi guys, im lookig to switch my rotor shaped **** for a 6" sickspeed ****. My only problem is that idk the fitting of the stock ****...Sizes i have seen so far are: 10x1.25; 8x1.25; 12x1.5; and other ones...pretty sure that the correct size is 10x1.25, but i want to be sure before ordering that, economy isnt good enough to just throw 60 dollars to the trash if it doesnt fit. Thanks a lot guys.

Yup, Mazda's size is 10x1.25, twist right off and twist back on.

Shift ***** for some cars have a specific weight for a reason. I'd buy a mazdaspeed ****. same weight as stock.

The stock **** weighs almost 3 times that. 300ish grammes vs 110\4oz.

Mazdaspeed's **** weighs the same and at least won't make your car look dumb.

If you're considering racing then a properly weighted shift **** is the only wise option...
Having a top-heavy shifter really helps.

Then you're a ricer and therefore free to ruin the car as you wish.

I mean that i wont try to work to hard on minor details like a super expensive mazdaspeed **** when i could save that money for more important parts while getting a shift **** that i like and fins it more confortable for me. And will focus on the engine/ suspension/ getting the right wheels and tires.

Do whatever you want then. We told you why a weighted shift **** works way better than a shitty cheap one but if you're still convinced that that **** is any good go ahead and buy it.

OP, seeing you have a 2009 RX-8 and Top Left gate for REVERSE Gear...and you get tired of the new **** you purchased, just so you know the NC Miata/MX-5 uses the same thread and R position as your 8.

But it is a round long ****, very comfortable, sits in/on my hand well, but to buy new OE Mazda, about $169-$202!!..

Just for reference...
N123-46-030A Leather NC MX-5 without Chrome Ring. $169
NE55-46-030B Leather NC MX-5 WITH Chrome Ring $202

I go this for mine when my original one came apart. I love it other than it gets really hot if I forget to but my windshield visor up.
