Installed a Bazooka this past weekend and now I want to step up the rear speakers a little bit.

Going to order some really sensitive 6x9's if I could. Anyone know if its the same size as the series 1, and does anyone know the impedance of the stock speakers? I think I read that it's 1ohm? I want to run off the stock amp, so I want to make sure I don't lose volume by going with too high an impedance. (lol)

Well, they are 8ohm, just need to know if the size is the same. I'm going to assume it is and order something today.

 

YES, Rear oval loud/main speakers are the same between series.
I think they are 4 OHM's??

 

I'll know later today. I bought some 2ohm Infinity 6x9, and I hope they clear the rear deck. If not, I am going to be heartbroken, I got a good deal on them, but they siy 7/8" above the flush level of the speaker.

 

Well, I am done. What a PITA it turned out to be. It was easy enough to get to the speakers, but the cutouts for the screws did not match up completely even. I held down each speaker with 3 screws, but will need to drill out the speakers a bit to completely fit them in perfect.

Definitely an improvement in sound, if a little bit too bright. I am happy. They fit perfectly otherwise.

Oh yeah, I still don't know the impedence, there were no markings at all to suggest it. lol
