I just recently occurred a squeaking sound from the front right of my 2005 rx8, which i can easily hear inside the cab. It only squeaks when im driving over 30mph and it will constantly annoyingly squeak around 60mph+, it mostly does it going through bumps in the road.

Is this a suspension problem? any suggests for diy fixes or any idea what i can do to fix this irritating squeak.

it is a preowned car with clutch mods that i know of, everything else seems pretty much stock.

First check to make sure it is not the brake indicator (i.e. check your break pads). If that is not the issue then I would check your ball joint(s). If that is not the issue, check your shocks. Basically check anything suspension wise until you narrow down the issue.

 

Check bushings on the control arms for any significant wear / tearing.

 

i drove it some more,

the sound, seems to be coming from underneath the passenger air bag, or in that general area.

I recently got my key fob done, if that has to do with anything around that area.

also, around 4 months ago i was backed up into that side of the car. with repairs to the; radiator mount was replace, my oil cooler and duct was replace. headlight was replace. fender repainted.

hopefully its minor and something i can deal with.
