R3 O.E.M Spoiler deleted

yesterday i changed out my wheels back to factory r3, and decided i still had alittle time on this car, so i removed the spoiler and i must say that it looks alot cleaner, and the illusion that it looks lower. what your thoughts? negitive comments approved, i'll switch my wheels again to see how it really looks.

Very nice! I recommend getting the little lip spoiler like what is on my GT. It's very small but adds a little accent.

minor fab to the clips for perfect fitment, no extra cost, just a right state of mind.

slick man. I'm actually checking out the ms wings cause mine came w/o a spoiler. I do like the oem style ones though (had an 04 gt).

i should of thought about this when i got her brand new, i really like the way it sits with no extra feat on the rear excluding my hks exhaust, maybe sometime this week im going to slap on either my polished sp1/ or gold xxr 522. just to really see a difference in appearance.

^^any way nice build on your r3 bro....

Nice..now remove those BA (bloody awful) side skirts...sorry guys, but they just don't look right IMO, too square and with no flare...I prefer the Series 1 half flared skirt thingies that fit at the rear half of sill.

I do not like the S1 side aero flares. The full side skirts look way better.

mistahjg, get the holes welded shut and then repaint the trunk!

Unless the Voltex wing uses the OE holes then you are still going to have a problem.

I would try to find someone to swap trunks with or weld the holes shut.

They could be assuming the trunk has no holes. I'd ask them if their wing specifically uses the OE holes.

I'll agree to disagree. I like the car almost perfectly as it sits, with the exception of possibly RMXG8's lip spoiler update, and a slight drop, but never to the point where I'd have to drive 5 MPH over a speed bump.

I've seen some of the dressed up S1s in here, and not a single one of them has made me go: "Oh, I wish my car looked like that."

It's a matter of personal preference, of course.

a slight droP? this car sits on full coilover, i had to fender roll, wheels are almost touching the fender with zero rub.

I think you misunderstood.

ASH8 was referring to R3s in general, and I responded with reference to *my* R3, which is currently at stock height.

mistahjg, quick question, what size tire are you running on your 18x10 XXR's? Also, what are your rear camber specs?

As far as the spoiler delete, I think it looks great. I would fill in the holes and leave it without a spoiler. Or, fill the holes and do a lip. Here is a couple pics of the RE-A trunk spoiler on the R3. I have this spoiler for my S1, and I will be debadging it as well in the coming weeks. I think it looks great on the R3.
