THinking of buying a Rx-8

Hello, recently I have been thinking of buying a RX-8. My dad had two RX-7 back in the day, and always talks about them. He wants to buy another one, and suggested I get one, however I want a RX-8. From doing my research these cars seem to be reliable if you are on top of things. I want to sell my BMW and get one of these. I am not worried with maintenance, I constantly maintained my BMW and its reaching 180k miles. I put about 20k miles on my car a year, maybe a little more, can this car handle that much? What signs should I look for? What are some common problems with the RX-8.

And for the fun side, I have not had the opportunity of sitting in one of these, how do they feel? How is the handling and speed?

It's funny that you should ask these questions, because I've spent the last year or so maintaining a thread that answers them. To make it easy to find, we even stickied it and put it at the top of the RX-8 Discussion subforum where you posted this thread.

So I'm just going to point you there, rather than re-typing everything. Again. Read the first 10 posts.

Are you serious? Yes, it could handle 20k or more a year.
