I have a 2005 titanium grey 6spd with 65k miles that is getting a new motor put in this week because of bad compression on both rotors. It is leather with sliding sunroof single disc sound system, and has brand new tires getting mounted this week and new brake pads installed less than 100mi ago.

KBB says 11,700 in good condition, which is probably low balling the condition, should the rebuilt/new motor garner a higher price tag? If so how much.

 

for an 05 with a refurbished engine, I'd say $10-12k is decent.
But, it also depends on your location. The rarer your car, the more you could sell for.

 

The rarer, the better.

I'm keeping my rx8 for a long time to come.
