IL Hey guys, decided to streeeeeetch

I'm finally at the height I want to be at, the side frame rails are just about 3" from the ground, the front lip about to 2" and the mudguard exactly 1 1/8". The only catch is that I'm on my baby 17" winter wheels (hence the title) I have gotten a lot of fender work done at Touge Factory Works, those of you in the Chicago area will recognize their name. So over there we calculated the tires I would need on my new summer set up to keep the overall wheel+tire diameter the same as these 17's+tires.

The set up will be:
18x9.5 +25 with 215/40/18 tires in Front.
19x10 +20 with 235/35/19 tires in the Rear.

Obviously this setup wont be on until May but I will make sure to post pictures as soon as its all done.
I'm very well aware of exactly how much lip/rim will be poking away from the tire and I'm okay with that.
Let me know what you guys think! oh and here's what the car looks like slammed on these candy blue winter wheels.

Happy Holidays!

Why such narrow tires on such wide wheels? I have 235 on my stock wheels now and my new 17x9 rpf-1 will get 265

No I had issues with that when I put the coilovers on and lowered it a ton and the toe was off, but once the allignment was adjusted and the toe and caster were fixed (even though the camber was as -5.5) I had no computer issues.

and as for curbs... I'm careful. The biggest issue I have to deal with is my own curb to my driveway ha.

If you compensate with the tire sizes to get the overall rolling diameter correct it wont be a problem

well if the total wheel diameter will be the same as the 17's that are on my car now so I dont think it'll be an issue.

Based on your sizes, your front will be 0.7" smaller than your rears. Wouldn't 215/45/18 be better for the fronts? That would narrow the gap to a 0.1" difference.

Also, why so narrow? Do you really want to reduce the ultimate grip that much? I'm guessing the real handling (not your butt-dyno assessment) has already been compromised by how low (and probably stiff) the car is. Why add to that?
