Does anyone know the unsprung weight for the stock rx8? I know this will vary on the wheels and tires but those numbers can easily be found.

Even better does anyone know the sprung weight front and rear?

Hmm.

Well you'd have to find the weight of your wheels, brake calipers, brake rotors, studs, lug nuts, brake shields, and control arms and that would give you an approximate unsprung weight number, then just subtract that amount from the total weight of the car for sprung weight.

Total weight distribution is like 51/49 front/rear so the sprung weight numbers will probably be close to the same over the front and rear.

 

There's a thread with a bunch of parts weight. It may help you find some data.

2 year old bump, but yes I am curious about this.
My old Subaru had a ratio of sprung vs unsprung of 7:1 .
Has anyone done the math for the rx8?
