I don't know if anyone would know , but i seam to getting a thud when i change up 2-1 most happen's when it's cold it's been back to Mazda and they did a gearbox rebuild 8 week's later i got it back still doing the same any help ?

how have you isolated that the noise is coming from the tranny?

Our cars make a thud noise on a cold start, and that is due to the ABS system doing a test.

 

No it's from Gearbox you can feel on the gear stick

 

what did the dealer say?

 

Wait are you trying to shift from 2nd gear to 1st gear while the car is moving?

it docent seam to matter moving or not :-(

 

Bring it back i we will look at it but they had this more then iv owned it . it's been back 4 time's with engine mounts , fogged up light , and gear box that time they had it 8 week's :-( so taking it back done feel me with joy lol
