Can the front badge be changed on a GT?

New RX8 GT 2008 owner wondering if the badge just below the bonnet can be changed or do I have to buy new front bumper? Also, if I do have to buy new front bumper is it available from mazda as I would prefer to go through a dealer to keep car warranty (cost isn't an issue). Would like to change it to the rotary emblem.

Any info appreciated :D

the badge can be taken off but then you have to fill the holes and repaint
if you want to buy a new bumper without an emblem you can get the Mazdaspeed bumper from the dealer but, it will be expensive

You will need to get it professionally installed at a body shop...not sure if Mazda will do that. They are around $350-$400 for the kit alone and close to the same price for installation depending on who does it.
Make sure you get the 3M clear bra because some ofthe others are not as tough and will start to yellow

just checked it out, pretty impressive. Wouldn't happen to know any body shops who do the installation? (preferably one that you would trust with your own car)...

The 'M' Badge is held on with double sided tape ALL around the underside of the plastic chromed badge and with 2 locating Pins which goes through Bumper Cover and held on with two Speed Nuts, so to remove you either break the badge two lugs pins, or remover bumper to get to the speed nuts to save the 'M' Badge (# F189-51-731), I have no idea what "Rotary Badge" you want to use in it's place.
