Hey all. I am going to try trading the old diesel F250 Super Duty in for an 8 here in a couple days. I have not seen the car in person, only via internet. It is labeled as a GT in the advertisement, but it seems to be missing GT items. There does not look like there are any fog lights, the seats are cloth (preferred by me!), if memory serves - no moonroof, BUT it does have 18" wheels, looks like HID headlights, and claims to have power seats. I know an owner could have swapped these items in, but is it possible to have bought just those options without the rest of the package that went with it? Or is this just a mis-labeled Sport?

Also, the car is located about 2.5 hours away from me. Would anybody here be so kind as to run the carfax for me so I have a heads up before I get there? The dealer will not give it to me over the internet.(?!?)

A GT model will have leather seats and sun roof. The 2004/2005 Sport model has fog lights, HID's and cloth seats (non-electric). Al models come with 18" wheels except for the base AT.
Car options, for all models, include nav, sat radio (GT only I think), appearance package and others.

Sounds like this is mislabeled a GT and is really a Sport.

 

If the fog lights aren't there it could be a base model; check for the traction control switch (next to the dimmer switch); if it doesn't have one, it's a base model
