It’s part-out time! Sadly after 8 years, I’m selling my ride for something a bit more practical. I’m in the San Diego area so I prefer local pick up (So Cal), but I’ll ship if the buyer pays. Everything is currently installed, but I’ll remove them when sold.

FS – AFE Short Shifter. No explanation needed except that I bought it last year and it’s been awesome - $220 - SOLD

FS – Audio Setup - 4080 10” sub box enclosure, passenger side. For those of you who don’t know what this is, you can search for threads on this forum. In short, the highest quality compact subwoofer box made for the RX-8. $200

FS - JL Audio 10w6v2 subwoofer installed in the 4080 box in perfect condition. $150

FS - JL Audio 500/1 monoblock amp that powers the sub. $150
I have the original boxes that the sub and amp came in. If you buy the entire set for $500, I’ll throw in the custom amp enclosure with plexiglass cover and neon light and the capacitor for free (see pics).

FS/WTT – A set of staggered Rays Engineering Volk Racing LE-37T in Gunmetal with polished lip. These wheels are in great condition. Straight and true with one with minor curb rash (see pic below) and another with a tiny tool mark near a lugnut. These are mated with General Exclaim UHP tires with less than 5,000 miles. Virtually new!
Specs: Rear – 19x9.5 +45 (Tires: 275/30/19), Fronts – 19x8.5 +43 (Tires: 245/35/19) - $2,100

I do not have my stock wheels anymore, but I’m willing to trade with someone with stock wheels in decent shape and tires with some life left in them. I’d need wheels with TPMS because the Volks don’t have them. We can trade for your stock wheels and tires + $1,600.

If you buy the wheels at the listed price, I’ll throw in the Ray’s Engineering lug nuts and the valve caps (I only have 3). These things are not worth selling separately, I think, but make an offer. Like $50.

I would buy it except I just don't like the idea of increased shifter noise.
That kills it for me, unfortunately.
Yeah, I know that many people say they don't notice it or there is no extra noise but there are a lot more who say there is, and I'm paranoid about any unwanted noise

 

I had a lot of noise at first and I was wondering what the hell was going on. Certain gears were really loud. I uninstalled it and realized that the boot thing sild off the shifter. Once I installed it properly, the noise decreased by about 90%. I don't even notice any noise anymore.

 

i'm interested in the SS, can you do 220 shipped to 85201?
