The display plug coming out of the HUD (AC read out, radio read out, and outside temp) is a 18pin connector. The display connection on the Metra black box is a 16 pin connection.

I called Metra, and they said that there is a conversion wire, but it is no where to be found in the kit, or the installation instructions. I tried calling them again, but they were closed for the night. I called the store that I bought it from, and they said none of their kits have that wire in them.

This issue is really bothering me - did anyone have this same issue? How did your install go? was there such a wire in your kit? Please help! thanks!

 

I thought it was normal to loose the clock function as well as the radio read when changing the HU.
I installed a Pioneer P4300 dvd and the clock went away as well as the Outside temp and A/C reading moving on the HUD.
