I've purchase a heavy duty clutch set from SR MotorSports for my RX8; and after the installation, there is a rattle sound when I place a gear and running in any gear.

Has anybody installed that clutch and got the same rattle noise? I bought the blue workshop manual for RX8 for the installation and used all the tools for the installation (pilot removal kit, pilot installation tool, flywheel stopper and alignment tool).

I appreciate all you guys input.

 

"Heavy Duty Cluctch Set" that is the name of the clutch; I think that they manufacture it. I've sent a email to them and when I get a response I'll post it for your guys info in case someone will have the same issue as I did.

I have installed the same clutch system. So far have been running over 6 months with no probs. That rattle noise might be your throw out bearing...did you change this and did you add high temp grease as instructed?

Yes, I did and yes I apply high temp grease. I followed step by step on the manual to install it. That is why I don't understand why the rattle noise.

What I think that I have to do is to check the clutch and flywheel again. That is the only way to find out where that noise is coming from or what is going on.
