Internet Brands suck.
Internet Brands makes money off us being here for free
Just like any network on TV or radio station or whatever else you want for an example. That is obvious even to the mental midgets we have around here.

While it is annoying that it went down and it is a service provided, the members receive the service for free. The advertisers that pay have a lot more room to complain.
Radio is comparable example, but most people pay for some form of TV service.
That said, IB isn't exactly the most reliable service. We were lucky to have it back to normal the same day. The last time we had major service issues lasted a lot longer... I want to say it was at least a week, maybe more.

People pay for internet service for the most part through some ISP which is no different than paying a TV broadcast provider. Going to rx8club.com is no different then going to some channel on TV.
My point is IB charges fees to other businesses for advertising. Would any company pay to advertise on IB forums if no one came here? Our "free" time is a fee we all pay to use the boards in exchange for the advertisements we view when visiting.
