Hit and Run on my 30th Birthday

Yesterday was my 30th Birthday and my wife chartered a private cruise on a sail boat. When I got back to my car someone had driven into the back of the car and smashed the rear bumper, boot (trunk), and also pushed the car forward into the curb in front damaging the front bumper. The person who hit the car fled the scene without leaving any details so my insurance will be paying for it. (I have a crime no. from the Police).

I was thinking that because both front and rear bumpers are damaged that I may be able to pay extra and get after market front and rear bumpers as the spraying and fitting will be getting done anyway. Does anyone know if you are allowed to do this.

Also please let me know about some nice front/rear bumpers. I am looking for subtle enhancement like the MazdaSpeed but without the price. I would also like the rear bumpers to be all body coloured. If you have a nice body kit on your car let me know so I can check it out.

I dont think you are allowed to use different bumpers.
usually they just reuse OEM bumpers from other salvage yard.

Lots of people use an accident as a way to defray the cost of aftermarket parts. Talk to the shop that is doing the repair work.

I turns out I can upgrade the bumpers and fit what ever I want. The insurance will cover the price and I just pay the extra.
I am thinking about getting the
Mazda RX-8 Extreme Dimensions Urethane M-1 Speed Front Bumper
Mazda RX-8 Extreme Dimensions Urethane M-1 Speed Rear Bumper
Mazda RX-8 Extreme Dimensions Duraflex Fiberglass M-1 Speed Wing
I don't really need the rear wing but seeing as the boot/trunk is getting a respray I may as well get a spoiler put on it.

Has anyone installed or seen these parts on a car and give me fome feedback good or bad?

The insurance is going to cover it but I need to pay the $250 excess. I am going to get after market bumpers so hopefully it will look great when the repairs are done.
