Finally bought an 07 base model 6 MT RX8

So far I love it... only complaints are gas mileage (I knew it would be a gas hog but you can actually watch the meter move) and how tall the doors are... hard to hang your arms out the windows when your cruising!! Other then that it's awesome!!! I love the sound of the engine and the 9k revline. Need to get a cobb accesport and have MM tune it for me cuz it's def running rich... only had it two days and already getting black carbon on the mufflers even though I regularly rev it high.

Welcome,

Check out the two threads in my signature, and definitely go the MM tune route. Made a great difference for me.

Congrats, and X2 on the pics!
But, the blacking of the exhaust tips is something you have to live with, no matter what tune you're running I think.

Huh thats odd... I never had that back with my 82 rx7 gsl... I woulda figured that if anything that would have been the one to deposit carbon on the muffler tip not the newer model...

I'm sure the fact that today's gasoline is like part refined human feces compared to gasoline 20 years ago doesn't help reduce carbon build up
