MazdasNW is doing a Mt. St. Helens Cruise on August 27th. Let's see if we can beat the Mazda 3s and RX-7 in sheer numbers. If a lot of people come we can make this the biggest RX-8 cruise ever in the NW.

North end members: Suggested meet spot is Costco in Federal Way at 9:00am with a departure of 9:15am to arrive in Castle Rock around 10:45am

South end members: Suggested meet spot is Fairground Chevron (chehalis convoy) at 9:45am with a departure of 10:00am to meet the north end members at Gateway Food & Fuel in Castle Rock. This drive is about 45 minutes

I will have to check my schedule but would like to go. I have not done any drives this year and this sounds like it could be fun.

I've been telling my wife for quite a while that we need to visit Mt St Helens... Sounds like this is the perfect opportunity!

 

Hmm, will Rawrx8 still be unable to drive by then? Maybe we can bring him and his RX-8. Of course the FD is in the shop (where they belong) getting some work done, it might not even be running by the 27th unless the parts get here soon.

I will be on vacation Driving down to las vegas for 4 days, then disney for 4 more days and driving back, leaving on 20 August and coming back on 1 September!

I may come back, try Hwy 101 and have fun in my Sx4!

 

Anibal, if you're going to be in SoCal, come up CA1. Then you can come up 101 Leget north.

Oh, and on topic, I've a family reunion that day. Grrrrrr.

You'd think with a family of lead foot's there'd be more sports cars, but My RX's and my Dad's CTS are the only one's, so no chance of convincing the family to make it a rolling reunion.

 

Looks like we will be taking the RX-8. I don't think the RX-7 is going to be ready in time.

Who else is coming? We are awfully short on RX-8s.

 

I'm still up for it. I'll be driving from Everett.

 

Sounds like we might have 5-6 RX-8s and 5-6 RX-7s plus all the other Mazdas. Anyone else coming?

EDIT: Apparently they changed the time/location on the site, but it seems no one knows about it, so we're going with the original plan of costco tomorrow at 9am. I had written a blurb about the new location and time (which was krispy kreme in tacoma at 9), but it seems ppl haven't noticed this change and it makes no difference anyway so long as we're in castle rock by 11.
