I want to get rid of the black plastic piece by the front wheel and relpace it with a chrome or carbon fiber. any one no where to get them from..

I'm working on a number of polished aluminum parts for the 8 right now (new design strakes, oil cooler and radiator stiff screens, etc). I briefly thought of trying the vents in polished aluminum but decided against it because I actually like the black. During that decision period though, I did make a note that these vents are super cheap as opposed to most of the factory parts. Check out Trussvilles vendor section or website, they were like $14 or something equally insignificant. If you're the type to look into producing something rather than waiting, having some stock vents for measuring and duplicating can make the design phase much much easier.

You might also search the forums for one guy that painted his vents (a sliver color). I forget who it was, but it was on a winning blue 8, it might give you a basic idea of what an aluminum or chrome vent would look like.

it was WHealy... seached fender and his name... i was planning on doing it some time soon as well, no rush though.
