RX8 2005 Shinka, engine looks funny?
Hi everyone, what's up.

I was looking at a dealer post about a 2005 Mazda Shinka, generally it looks like a great car, but a photo of the engine looks weird.(attached)

As far as i am concerned, under the RX8 hood, engine and other stuffs are isolated into different compartments or partitions,and have cover for each.

this shinka apparently doesnt have the similar pattern, and looks messy.

Anyone has an idea how this comes? Does it matter if I buy this shinka?

it is missing the battery cover and the engine cover...looks normal other wise.

missing in this picture are the lid for the battery box and the engine cover. that you think it looks "weird" but are unable to identify why worries me.

Not sure, but it looks like a carjack device or similar. My brother used to own an Audi A4 and installed a carjack device and it looks similar from what i could tell, idk.

Personally I'd never buy an 8 missing its engine and battery covers. Not that the covers are important but, to me, it suggests there's a good chance the owner is not particularly **** about taking care of his car. For an ordinary used car, I don't need the owner to be ****; for an RX-8, I do.

Just my 2¢.
