Hi guy's, my rx-8 just sounds awful. '05 auto with 66000 miles on it. Whether at idle or driving there is this constant sound from the engine. I think it is the timing belts becasue thats where the sound seems to be coming from. I wanted to get any advice to see if im wrong or right and what to do to fix it. Thanks much appreciated. I can't really tell anything from your video, but here's what I would do:

Loosen the tensioners for both belts (they are accessory belts, not timing belts, btw), and then spin the different items (water pump, alternator, tensioner pulleys) and see if one of them is making a noise, or is bad.

Then go from there.
