I recently started noticing a rather loud creaking noise coming from the rear of my car. I put my car in neutral and coasted down a hill and seems to make a loud creaking noise after each rotation of the rear driver side wheel. Any ideas of what this could be?

 

hmm when my brake pads were low they creaked on one side.. replaced them and they went away.. what mods do you have on your car and mileage?

 

2006 with only 38k miles and the only mods are an intake and exhaust... I haven't messed with the suspension at all.

 

check and see if the wheel lining is not loose or rubbing on something. i still believe its the brake pads. mileage is to low for it to be a wheel bearing.

 

Nothing seems to be rubbing on the wheel lining. It just sounds like metal is coming in contact with another piece of metal after each rotation...

 

have you pulled the pads?

 

Everything seems to look normal... I can't tell if it is something with my suspension or not..

 

I noticed today that the noise is more prominent when turning left.
