I just verbally agreed to buy a 2004 Rx8 GT 33,153 miles spoiler, chrome rims, factory side skirts for 11,500. Very clean car one minor dent on the right fender can be popped out no problem. Red and Black leather interior the car is spotless. The owner is the Third owner and has had the car for 17k miles and has all the maintenance records for oil changes, etc. Car has never been driven in the winter which is awesome since it is coming from Michigan. I'm from Cleveland and driving up this weekend to pick up the car. I've test drove a few, but I was wondering if there was anything major to look or listen for while test driving it before the money is exchanged? Also the title is clean on carfax but I was wondering if I should call mazda and verify the vin to make sure the warranty is still valid? And if so does anybody have the number for that, that would be much appreciated so I dont have to scroll through countless pages trying to find the information. Anybody's insight would be much appreciated, and I looking forward to joining the RX8 club whoot whoot!!!

 

33k miles on an 04 for 11.5k? I'm willing to bet that it's running a warranty replacement engine.

 

doubt it. I've been seeing tons of 04/05s coming into the used car lot I work at and a lot of them have less than 35,000 miles.

 

with a 11.5k price tag? Doubt it.

Dime a dozen here, one of our local guys paid $10,000.00 cash for his clean, one owner 04' GT w/nav with less than 50k on it. Cornholio135 (local guy to us) traded his 04 GT in and got a an immaculate Brilliant Black 06' Shinka with 30k on it for less than 15k before trade in.

 

Prices of 8's are looooowwww these days.. gotta jump on the deals!

 

Yeah I found it on ebay he was asking 12k. Title is clean its original engine no upgrades. On ebay he had 12 offers all lowballs so I jumped on it. And for the vtecsidelsol name I'm had a del sol for about 8 years now so the name just sticks. I'm super excited to own an rx8 though its a little bit of an upgrade from my 125hp honda lol.
