R3 wheels for trade or $1400

Category: Wheels & Tires
Price: $1400
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I, Series II
Location (US State/Canada/Int): KS
Item Condition: Used

I have a set of R3 wheels I'd like to trade or sell. I autocross so I'd like a lighter wheel and a wheel cheaper to wrap some rubber around. These wheels have around 32k miles on them. I'd rate them at 8 out of 10 for condition. They have some chips but no curb rash or bends. Ideally someone willing to drive to Manhattan, KS (yes, that is manhattan, KS) will give me a set of tires and wheels that we can switch out on the spot. I'm looking for a set of light 17x9 wheels (think enkei rpf1's etc) and a decent summer/autocross rubber. Otherwise I'm asking for $1400 + shipping. Here are the links to some pics 1

I understand there is some concern over Kenyan Princes and the like selling these wheels through brokers from Azerbaijan. I tried to photo my username on that notepad with the pics but they are a bit washed out. Anyway, let me know if you are interested and I'm sure we can work something out.

I thought these things would sell before I finished posting from some of the old threads I've seen on these wheels. Am I doing something wrong? No one has even low-balled me yet. I'm eager to sell fairly quickly, I've got another autocross to attend on the 25th and I'd like to do it on some new shoes.

I think the price may be throwing many off.

you have never posted on this site
no one here knows you
you are asking a RIDICULOUS price for these
AND you still expect the buyer to pay for shipping

this is why no one is biting... GLWS

I've checked a bunch of old threads and found prices ranging from 1500 to 3000. I haven't been able to find a link detailing how much mazda charges but one of the threads said that they went for about a grand each from a dealer.
So what's the going rate for these wheels? I really have no idea what these are worth. I'm not unreasonable, just new to the RX8 and this forum. I figured I'd ask a bit over the median of the prices I have seen these posted for. Make me an offer and we can go from there.
And for anyone concerned about my authenticity all I can say is I will do what I can to secure your confidence.

also there is a big difference between "dealer value" and consumer value. dealerships charge crazy *** prices for these wheels because insurance/warranties usually pay for them. from a consumer Point of view, you are buying a used OEM wheel. for that price i could buy brand new TE37's with new rubber and the value on those is substantially more

Price dropped to 1400 + shipping. I would still prefer someone to pick them up or swap for a 17x8 or 9 wheel. If you are interested just let me know.

Bump for a good guy. He is legit. I autocross with him. Good driver in need.
The reason for his no post count is simply cause he lurks. Don't let that fool you.
GLWS.

Thanks for the bump, it's amazing what a $7 bribe will get you.

I have a couple of people interested so far but nothing settled as of yet. I'm motivated to trade/sell.

^ I PMed you a while ago with my zipcode so you could figure out shipping. Same price with or without tires, they just ship cheaper without them.

^ They may work, just PM with what size they are and pics of the actual wheels. I can't get the link to work for me.

And for anyone else reading this I am looking for a light 17x9 set ideally for a trade.
