Ok,

the old owner, has Eagle F1's on it and they are about shot (thanks to the PA state inspection for pointing that out..... )

anyways, i'm looking for a good summer tire as i'll be getting the stock 16's for winter months here (unless i scorea dd for winter)... and i called the mazda dealer and asked "whats the locals running on the 8's" figuring id get $1000 tires, and here is what i got.

GoodYear Eagle Gts $712
Dunlop SP SPort Sig $686
Komho LX Plat $689
Hankook Ventus $629 ($60 rebate)

i dont have a problem with goodyear but i just dont want the road noise that i'm getting with the F1's, sounds like i'm in a Jeep with 21inch swampers on (no phun to those that have jeeps jacked to the moon with huge tires) but thats about the best i can describe it.

I'll be keeping the stock 225/45's for now till i get some more road time with it.

wow lots of info and i read both pages... still stumped lol. i want good tread because pa has had its far share of wet summers, and i just dont want the road nose.

but mad Kudos for the link good read will look into the FK452s

yeah, they seem to be the "go-to" tire.. i've read reviews from tirerack/discount tire etc etc, and i think its funny (if i can find it again) a guy bought Eagle Gts for his 8, and said they suck in the winter...... Ummm dont think he read the fine print lol..

but i found the FK452s for 155 each (pending $30off discount) so they 500 for a set of 4 not bad. let me know how they feel and sound etc..
