Drove to Mazda technical center today 1/23 and saw two
RX-8s parked in the parking lot with Distributor plates.
These are most likely cars brought down from Laguna Seca.
Will try to return next week and take some digitals.

Damn! IT's too dark now and I have to be at work before the sun comes up! I'll still drive by in the morning just to see if they are in the parking lot.

 

No, I went there also and no cars. Technical center is on
Red Hill near McArthur by Orange County Airport.

 

I know exactly where that is. I wasn't even thinking about the Specrum location.

 

What color(s) were the cars?? Could you get very close to them?

 

Colors were red and black, and both have my fingerprints all over them.

 

It would be great if you could get pictures of them. I've been wanting to see some better pictures of the RX-8 in black!

 

I'm almost 100% positive that those RX-8's will not be left in the open parking lot on the weekend. They will probably be locked inside or in one of the engineer's driveway! Heck they get mad at the employees taking picture of the cars, but that was before Laguana Seca and the auto shows. You also won't find them at the Corporate location yet, but you will see plenty of Miata's and Mazda6's!!

I drove around the parking lot there yesterday and didn't see any. Only a lot of 6's and Tributes.
