It will be the RX9. We had a Mazda rep at the Texas8 and he couldn't tell us the exact name but said it would be from RX-7 to RX-9. It will not be a two seater and it won't be an RX-8 we know for sure so...............

Based off that concept so it will be similar. According to him no concrete pictures will be released for a while. We have about two years until it's release, it should be close to 300HP and supposedly will get 30% better gas mileage.

That's why I decided to go turbo, it will give me something to do in the meantime

Scott you forget though he also said the new RX would weigh less... So what I think is going to happen is there will be two different versions, which the Mazda Rep said and didnt deny could happen. It also makes sense because the enthusiast would want 2 seats with less weight and more power than someone that just had a kid, which makes the RX-8 a good choice still, so we will see...

 

People aim for Horsepower --- That's very true and horsepower sells.

sadly most people don't cared about "balance" they always think "omg it has more horse oh yea"

We're part of the "weird" group, and people talk **** about Rotary all the time because they just can't accept the fact that "that little engine just wooped my ***"

Another thing I want to point out is yes, Mazda is the first and only Japanese company that won Le Mans 24, but Rotary Engine got banned right after cuz BMW/Porsche/etc was crying left & right saying its not fair that their little ***(pride) got kicked. Just like what happened to the Skyline GT-R in other races. F1 Banned Rotary engines altogether, and same thing for Rolex series, they lifted the ban @ Rolex series just a while ago and Rotary Engine kicked everyone's ***.
