Clean up the DIY Section

I am still learning about the RX-8 and wanting to look up helpful DIYs for future use, but whenever I click on something I might want to do (even if DIY is in the name) it's usually people asking for one rather than one being supplied... even in the DIY archive has TONS like this.. Is there anyway to clean this up to make DIY a lot easier?

I never had much problem finding the DIY's I needed. Search function shows how many replies there are to a thread which is usually a great indicator that it's a legitimate discussion.

Good suggestion, but I do think you have some options to find things effectively still.

I rather agree with the OP. The master stickied list of DIYs is out of date and several referred to links are either missing or themselves refer to pictures and products that are no longer available.

It will take someone a lot of work to re-organize however.

04green - Yep I have read your starter DIYs and even posted in there a thanks.

Hiflite999 - I agree it would take some time to organize, but it's for the better right?... I mean if I were a mod I'd take the time to clean it up.

Nothing prevents you from spending hours to organize everything into a cross-linked list of good, functional DIY's, starting a "DIY Index v.2" thread to post that list, and having a mod stickie it. It's always easy to volunteer others' time than one's own.

assuming you can actually get one to GAS, I have repeatedly tried to take over the "Stock Parts Weight" thread to no avail. Starting a V2 thread only adds to the clutter. There are sticky threads from way back when that not only aren't relevant, they have blatantly false and misleading info (the dyno thread being one example). The truth is that nobody has or takes the time anymore unless they happen to take a personal interest in a particular situation .... so your comment at the end is not necessarily relevant or accurate even

.
