So i have a 04 rx8. One day im parking my car and about to get out before i get out the car i use the auto door lock before i open the door and im like aw sheet i didnt even get out yet. I manually unlock the door and try to open it and it doesnt work. I tell my brother to try and open it from the outside and it still doesnt work. I take it to all the mechanics in town even window shops and lock smiths they say they need the door open to fix it. Take it to mazda they say they gotta rip it open and it will cost 1200 to replace someone please help me. Been crawling in and out of the car from the passenger side for 2 weeks now.

 

Do an advanced search (titles only) on driver door

 

The actuator arm fell off. take door panel off, and put it back on.
