Just replaced coil, plugs and wires and no zoom zoom zoom

I am trying to figure out the best keyword search and best replies but the search engine is so slow and too many posts to sift through. Any suggestions appreciated while I sift through the 1,000's of posts. The only one I found that was specific was some joking about using the search engine and not to post that you can't start your car. That was really helpful. LOL!!

Does the car even try to turn over? I guess you replaced the coils, plugs, and wires one at a time so you did not mix up anything.

If the car does not even try to start and makes no sounds at all you probably hit a wire connection on the starter. Simple fix wiggle the wire connection and push it down.

Sound like you were expecting better performance, after your tune up. or does the car not start?

Ok got it started. I pulled the fuel pump fuse and the cat pump did the 5 second crank on and off several times until it started. I had to pull the fuse and put it out a few times before it finally started. The first couple of times it died right away so I pulled the fuse out again and did the 5 sec routine until I could get it to start and stay idle. I got it warming up now and gonna go zoom zoom zoom.

Replacing the plugs wire and coil was easier then trying to get the biatch started. LOL!! This is the first time I have ever flooded or not been able to start but after replacing the PWC's and still no zoom was frustrating but I am over it now.

This is interesting, I am about to replace my coils and plugs.... I wonder if you did something wrong to get yourself flooded. I got my 8 at 65K and it now has 90 and I've never had any flooding or anything, just a mild power loss recently.

I have never flooded either but the car was idling bad and the dealer warned me I had to replace the plugs coil and wires but I milked it for another year till it died. The reason it wouldn't start is because I rarely drive it and made the mistake of starting and stopping before it was warmed up as well. I flooded it pretty good before replacing the plugs et al is why I had to remove the fuel pump fuse and cat pump and crank out the gas a few times. This is a good trick to know if you flood out on the road. Crank for 5 seconds wait 5 seconds do it about 3 times then put the fuse back in. I kept the cat pump disconnected till it started then plugged it in while it was running. It ran really rough with lots of white smoke for a couple minutes but once it warmed up it was zoom zoom zoom again. Car runs better then it ever has, should of done this a long time ago.

I have a 2007 RX-8 with 35k miles and it has started bogging down and from the notes I read here it could be coils and plugs. I took it to the Mazda dealer yesterday and they estimated $950 to replace. Do anyone have any suggestions and know of anyone in the Atlanta area that won't try to rip off a female?

Holy crap man. That mechanic owes the mob or something.... If I were you I would buy what you need from someone here. You can get stock replacements or the BHR kit, then find a mechanic who can put them in and only charge you for labor. There are also some good DIY threads if you're mechanically inclined at all.
