As many of you know this year (2011) we will also be hosting a car show during the WHiV weekend (Friday Evening). We will need to account for what cars are expected to assure each group qualifies. So if you plan to attend (really plan to attend, not kinda plan to attend) lets start a list. Include screen name and what ya bringing The list is pretty straight forward. ID your car as a vert or TII if it applies. All legitimate WHiV attendees are eligible.

We are purchasing trophies for different classes so please list what your brining. If your bringing more than one rotary, that's OK just tell us what are your bringing.

RX8 = n/a
RX8 = FI

RX7 = first gen = n/a
RX7 = first gen = FI

RX7 = second gen = n/a
RX7 = second gen = FI

And so forth -

13X will be setting the classes based upon entry levels.

 

what if we are bringing a Lotus? lol

 

I'll be bringing my FI RX8 so count me in!

 

If it's rotary powered, bring it on.......There is at least one rotary car that will attend that is not a Mazda.

Presently we are not making a real list for the show but I think it's on the way....Every rotary car entering the WHiV meet is elgible. As soon as I get a few more that say they want to be part of the show we will start a list.

I'd love to enter mine, but it's just another MazdaSpeed-enhanced 8 (there's a few more not listed in my sig). Not show-car material, IMO. Either older 7's, or 8's with true show-car or performance mods are what I want to see.

Wait- I may change my mind if some young, scantily-clothed hotties will drape themselves all over my car...

 

Go kart? Snowmobile? Airplane? Gull-wing Benz?

I think this car show will be much like the SevenStock show where it really isn't about who wins, it's just about having fun and getting to gaze at all the rotary goodness that will be this event.

Putting your car in the show is for every one to see what you have accomplished with your ride even if you are not a modder. My guess is that most entries will be close to stock.

 

My opinion it's a gather place, and is for fun. Heck there were plenty of cars at SS that were not "show" quality. But scantlity clothed women does sound intersting lol

Phil and I have tossed around the ideas of what the classes should be, but we need registrations to have a better picture ... so lets get pl registered!!

 

I see a whole list of 7 over on Sin City Rotary that want to enter the show but only a couple have entered. I would have thought that there are so many 7s that more would have signed up.

Even the 8s are slow to join in this year.

 

Spent the day clay bar'ing the car and adding a few coats of Zaino.

Can't wait for this meet and especially the car show!

We have decided that all attendees are in the car show (except for two cars that are not eligible) and as such no Car Show list will be forth coming.....The categories are yet to be set in stone due to lagging attendance figures. We have a lot of ideas but .........

Preliminary ideas (that may change or be added to)

Best "stock" 8 : Meaning cleanest unmodified 8 body with limited under the hood mods.

Best "modded" 8 : Meaning any and all body and engine mods using the standard 8 body and engine.

13X will be picking the categories that the old school and 7s will be in. Presently there are only 7 entries. I am told that when the locals start signing up we will have several more......I was hoping for some from Arizona and Cali to join in the fun. All rotary cars are eligible regardless of the day of entry but must be entered before 7pm the day of the event. The only problem we see is that if there are a lot of last minute entries we may not be able to expand the trophy list.

The only ineligible cars will be mine and 13x. Several peeps have been approached about judging but most have declined or would prefer not to judge. 13x and I will pick the judges the day of the show. Each judge will not be eligible to judge in his class so you 8 owners need to bone up on 7s and the same with 7 owners. There will be no decliners, if picked you will serve

 

I nominate myself to Judge, I am a banker by trade so we all know how trustworthy and unbiased I can be.

A badge will be required to partispate in any of the events that are part of WHiV4. The badges are free - no cost. They will be available Friday from 3pm until 8pm, again on Saturday from 9am until 10:00am at the start of the drive.

Coming to the Friday night party in the Penthouse? You must have a badge to get by Hotel Security.

Parking in the garage area......Security may ask to see your badge.

If you do not have a badge you may be asked to leave any event or to move from the partisipants area.
