If there is a dealership that sells the R3 stuff for a good price, then I'd like to know about it lol. Everything has been crazy expensive that I've seen/heard about.

when it comes to "is it worth it"

everybody has a different point of view

but couple hundred bux a bumper that fits 100% is not that expensive IMO. nothing fits like stock.

Haven't been able to find the r3 stuff, but I did price out fog lights and that came out to right under $1k for everything needed to install them. So I could only imagine if the fog lights are that expenisve, then the bumbers would be too.

, it's not like R3 parts are so specific. The exhaust is the same as all the other series II RX8's.

My Nephew IzzyRX8 bought the whole kit for his 09 S2 CWP, sides were (only come painted) $1600 w/tax, front R3 bumper $400 w/tax + $400 paint +$400 for R3 front bumper under wings, +$230 middle front bumper lip (uses different lip than the stock S2- rotary emblem piece) + $200 mud guards/fender liner for R3 bumper (differrent than stock S2s), sadly no pics up yet because we are waiting for coilovers . Altogether $3200. But wellllll worth being the only CWP S2- R3 conversion in the states. Ill try getting a current pic up soon.

Note: His car already had the fog lights since its an S2 Touring (R3 uses same fogs), the rear wing is almost $1k btw, but the S2 trunk lip spoiler is way nicer.

The R3 front bumper cover is the same price as a non-R3 front bumper cover. Like Zumn said you'll need the front middle air dam piece and the left & right side air dam pieces. That is what drives the price up. And again, like Zumn said, the inner splash guards are different as well if you want to be complete.

You can just run the front bumper without the front lower lips & the inner splash guards and even without fog lights. Someones done that before as well.

^ sounds about right, if not more because you still need the headlights, the rear bottom rotary fog light, front fog lights, + you have to repaint the sides to match maybe another $400, but just like the Mazdaspeed kit, you can't go wrong, its perfect overall.

The R3 side skirts are available in the US in these colors prepainted:

Diamond Gray Metallic
Sunlight Silver
Crystal White Pearl
Velocity Red
Galaxy Gray
Aurora Blue
Brilliant Black

Japanparts shows Sparkling Black Mica available as well, but I didn't see the part number for that one in the US catalog. But it could be available as well.

Not 100% sure on the prices but I believe it was around $3500 for fenders, bumper and HID headlights. Then you still have the skirts and rear bumper and taillights and all the misc costs.

So maybe someone who has purchased the R3 side skirts can answer these questions for me.

1. Do the S2 R3 side skirts fit direct with no modification (aside from mounting holes) to the S1?
2. Does the mounting hardware have to be purchased separately? If so anyone know how much?
