Weird snapping noise while coming out of garage ??

So ive noticed this happen for a while but thought it was normal so i never bothered asking about this. But sometimes when im leaving for work in the morning i put the car in neutral to backk out, cause my drive way and garage are an incline high enough to let the car roll back. Now i keep the car in neutral with the e brake up during the night. ive noticed this when it gets cold at night. Sometimes when in the morning i let the car roll back in neutral, it doesnt. It feels "stuck". ANd i have to put it in reverse and when i let out the clutch, it literally feels like something is stuck to my wheels preventing me from rolling back and neutral and as i let go of the clutch to reverse it "snaps". Not like a twig snapping but like a nice big piece of wood snapping.

Could it be my e brake cable is still pulled even when i release it due to the cold nights ?? Anyone else with this problem

Thanks,

For the help

Ken

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE !!

the condensation in the morning and dew will still cause rust.
after all brakes are metal haha. rust loves metal like a fat kid loves cake haha.

when you "snap" your just kinda breaking the seal / rust weld per say

use transmission dont use handbrake when its cold out.
or even better chock the wheels if you dont want to put stress on either handbrake or transmission.
