Why would you break down? I don't get it! This is a ridiculous question.

i just took a 1435 mile trip from chicago to south florida..... i would have 600 miles to spare on my oil after the trip, so i didnt change it.... i checked my level every other fill up, but it didnt drop too much honestly..... and the weird thing i found was that rather i was driving like a maniac or cruise control at 85 throughout literally the whole tank, my light clicked on for fuel between 240 and 245 miles..... Every single time
only problem i had was when i got to florida after driving for 19 hrs straight and the only rest my car was getting was gas fill ups and peeing, i noticed a small ticking coming from my car.... but it went away after sitting all night.
Point of this story, these cars arent some fragile piece of glass, its a car man. drive it, keep things up to date.... thats it

I would bring a quart of motor oil with you and before you leave check your tire pressures.

If the car doesn't have Super-high miles, you shouldn't have any issues. Just make sure you keep your oil topped off and changed depending on distance and interval. Oh and take some country roads, helps the soul during the drive, highways are boring and usually straight.

I've MOVED all over the east coast with this car...usually loaded down till the rear tires are damn near rubbing the inner fender no problems(knocks on wood)...just check tire press, oil change...the usual that you would do on any other car.....

Clean your MAF just for good measures, Takes 5 minutes and can really make a differance in the way the car runs. Other than that, Drive the **** out of it and have fun! There are some really nice back roads on that trip, Take some and enjoy driving the car!

i wanted to take some back roads but i had a schedule to follow and i had my trunk, my rear seats, and my passenger seat full of everything i own lol... so i just drove.
car deff. looked good tucking the wheels almost to the rim though makes me wanna lower it.. but she got a 3 hour bath yesterday, scrubbed, jacked the car up and laid under it spraying all the salt and dirt from under the car and out of the wheel wells, waxed it, polished the head lights since they were getting slightly dingy, conditioned the leather..... she deserved it. and she is getting some 3k hid fogs for christmas

Highway miles are better for a car than short trips. Startups cause the most wear on an engine. You can even relax your oil change interval because the oil stays hot and moisture doesn't have a chance to collect in the sump. Yes, you will still have to check the oil level. The OMP doesn't quit just because you aren't in stop n' go traffic anymore.
