Tien Basics with S-tech springs ?

so basically , my current set-up is TIEN BASIC coilovers and i want to go lower and slightly stiffer....SO, i was wondering if anyone ever swap out their TIEN basic spirngs and run TIEN S-tech or TIEN H-tech springs on their TIEN BASICS shocks ? or does anyone have any idea if they would be lower or stiffer than the BASICS ? ..... i dont seem to be able to find an exact thread that compares the springs height ? Any input would be greatly appreciated

I would expect the springs to be of different shapes since they match up to different perches/collars. The collars for the coilovers probably allow for their universal springs while as the springs they had to produce to mate with our stock shocks.

Even if they did match up the spring rates are way lower on the springs than they are on the coilovers. So it would be quite a bit softer. But the pressure of the dampers could to be too much to rebound as quick as the spring itself and make the ride seem rougher. You'll get more drop for the same amount of weight on it but whether it is lower or not depends on the total weight applied on the spring and the height of both springs in comparison to one another.

Just looked at the tein site
Basics Spring Rate: F=450 lbs/in; R= 340 lbs/in
S-Tech Spring Rate: F=210 lbs/in; R=150 lbs/in

Also lists a universal part number for the tein basic spring... well there ya go. haha
